RECAP: Scandal (S03E13)

Last weeks episode of “Scandal” was MIND BLOWING- Literally! Here is what you missed;

We got a look at Jakes history as he talks to someone – but who? We do not know. He is talking about B6-13 and we learn that his family is not a group of people related by blood anymore, his family is now B6-13.

At Sally’s they are attempting to prepare for the presidential debate and Leo is using Sallys preacher as a last resort to help snap Sally out of her crazy devil talking ways! It looks as if Sally’s guilt is causing her to crack a little. Sally confessed to her preacher about her role in Daniel Douglas’ death and decides she must confess her sins to the world so God will speak to her again. While at the White House Fitz is at the top of his game when it comes to the presidential debate and Cyrus is excited to see the old Fitz return.Leo goes straight to Cyrus to request they push the debate given Sally’s current mental state, if she speaks Cyrus will go to Jail.

David, Abbey and Huck are listening to the recording of Sally and Cyrus’ phone call the night of Daniel-Douglas’ death. David is trying to get Olivia on side to bring Sally to serve justice but she seems so overwhelmed by this latest development. Olivia goes to Cyrus telling him she knows everything but Cyrus promises he has it under control. Really Cyrus? Your husband is working against you? Have you really got it under control? Olivia is finding it hilariously messed up that all 3 presidential candidates are murderers – Reston, Sally and Fitz have all killed people yet they want to run the country. Olivia realizes the fresh start, clean race they promised fits was destroyed the minute Cyrus pimped out his husband, Cyrus tries to convince Olivia to help him cover it up, but she is not on board. Later, at Pope & Associates Olivia locks away all the information on Daniel Douglas’ murder in the safe, telling Abbey they are not getting involved. Has she had a change of mind?

At B6-13 Quinn is the new receptionist at Acme Limited Paper, this is not what she signed on for! Jake has also banned all free lance work for B6-13 agents. Quinn is bored and irritated with her new role in B6-13 believing Jake is keeping her there for Olivia’s sake. Ex-command, Daddy Pope, Rowan is still involved in Sallys campaign and appears to be calling the shots. What exactly is he up to?

Olivia turns up at Jake’s apartment with Dinner and Wine, wanting a relaxing evening with her fake boyfriend and pretend she lives in a world where she doesn’t know these things, Jake appeases her telling her about his paper selling Business reminding her that normal is boring. He asks her to run away with him, away from their lives, to save him. Olivia does not answer but tells him to take advantage of her and the two kiss! What does this mean for Liv and Fitz?

As Abbey and David lay in bed they think “What would Olivia Pope Do?” #WWOPD.  Abbey is freaking out about Davids safety but David is not too worried.

Cyrus meets with Jake requesting he kills Sally, Jake refuses, but Cyrus reminds him that B6-13 is to protect the republic, this murder becoming public knowledge will cause the faith in the republic to collapse, is that good enough reasoning? According to Jake – NO!

Cyrus tells Olivia they need to cancel the debate or Sally will confess, she visits Sally to see for herself the true state of the VP. Sally tells Liv she does not want to confess but she must confess as Sally goes on a religious reasoning rant telling her that without the sign of Gods love she is worse than dead. #WWOPD, she would have the President throw the debate to give Sally the sign from god she is looking for and to do so she first tells Fitz the truth about Sally, Mellie and Cyrus’ role in Daniel Douglas’ death.

Jake attempts to bring Olivia on side but knows she has sided with Fitz. The following day he gives Quinn her first real ‘Job’ for B6-13. Breaking into Pope & Associates to copy the Daniel Douglas Murder File bringing it to Jake who calls in Tom, his White House Agent.

The night of the Presidential Debate has come and Sally is still acting crazy, no one can get through to her. Olivia is still trying to convince Fitz to throw the debate but he is not having it. As Sally, Fitz and Samuel Reston take the stage to debate Domestic Issues, everyone waits, hoping the VP can keep it together. Fitz temps Sally brining up her Husbands heart Attack. As Tom, is in the rafters with a sniper gun, ready to shoot Sally if necessary. As Sally begins with “Ladies and Gentlemen i have a confession to make. . .I am compelled to say. . .” Cyrus and Leo are freaking out, is she really going to do it? Luckily Fitz does what Olivia has asks and steps in with “What’s the matter Sally, Bible verse slipped your mind?” Sally takes this as her sign from God that snaps her out of her Devil ridden funk!

Leo visits Cyrus to brag about their victory, as he leaves he mentions a buzzing sound which Cyrus goes in search of, it is the recording device in the frame from James. Uh- Oh Cyrus discovers he has been spied on and goes straight to James calling him out as Publius but rathe than condemn his husband he apologies for using James and doing this to them to their family!!

As David, James, Shelby Moss, and Vanessa Chandler meet we realize it was neither of them that called the meeting, out of nowhere  Jake turns up he immediately shoots Vanessa and Carla, with one more shot aimed in the direction of David and James we don’t know WHO GOT SHOT!

The last ten minutes of that episode were the most intense ten minutes. We need answers, answers that not even, Joshua Malina could give Tuesday night at the DIVERGENT premiere as he supported co-star Tony Goldwyn, see our interview HERE!

RECAP: Grey’s Anatomy (S10E14)

Last weeks “Grey’s Anatomy” opened with Owen bringing up the idea of living together with emma who was immediately on board. Derek still was dealing with the aftermath of going back on his promise with Meredith, his punishment, 3 weeks without sex! And Callie surprising Arizona with ring to signify their new home, new start and new life.

Owen announces the new rules of the hospitals dating policy which will discourage relationships among colleagues and completely bans relationships with subordinates, he then leaves Richard to deal with the residents questions on the new rules and Jo is not happy. She immediately puts the blame on Stephanie when she learns it was one of her friends that submitted the complaints that were the catalyst for the new rules.

At the hospital Jackson forgets to take off his wedding ring but his WIFE, yes we still love saying this, his wife, April gets to him before anyone sees it. As they take some alone time in the supply closet they are disturbed by Alex and Jo who earlier staged a very convincing fight in front of the entire hospital in an attempt to hide their relationship. Richard Webber finds both couples in the supply closet, their secrets are out for all four of them.

Callie and Alex are treating a new patient, Rory, a teenager dealing with cancer for the third time, this time it is aggressive. Richard puts the residents on the case of planning a surgical approach to treating Rory. Ben tries to have them work together but given all the tension they all go their separate ways. Bailey attempts to use her genetic research to gain a better understanding of her cancer. Rory has a rare gene, with only a few hundred other families sharing the rare disease. Needing some deeper research Webber sends the residents to the library to find out as much as they can to help treat Rory.

Jo tells Stephanie that Jackson and April are still together so her plan did not work, the only thing her filing a complaint did was destroy her and Alex’s relationship, with Jo lashing out at her friend Leah Murphy steps in admitting it was her who submitted the complaint, not Stephanie, she is still heartbroken over her fling with Arizona, believing it has effected her medical career. Ross takes this opportunity to tell them they are squandering their privilege as doctors,  that they have the chance to save Rory and they are wasting it. Unfortunately Rory takes a sudden turn for the worse before the residents have time to put a plan together and passes away, but the residents have made some advances, if anyone in Rory’s family were to have the same problem later, they now have a treatment plan.

Derek has another interview with the white house, so Meredith takes this opportunity to have a girls night with Cristina, where they talk about her relationship with Owen over wine. Derek’s interview is cancelled when he returns home to a tipsy Cristina and Meredith. Cristina on her way home stops by to see Owen to congratulate him with a bottle of wine she swiped from Derek’s collection.  A drunk Cristina tells Owen his new policy is ruining her dating chances, the hospital is her dating pool. One thing leads to another with these two and a simple drink ends up with these two sleeping together! Tut Tut Chief Hunt! The following morning Emma stops by the hospital to see Owen, bringing up the kids question? She would like two or three and would like to not work until they are in school, her little announcement blindsides Owen.

The board calls Alex and Jo into a meeting, they are told they can do what they want in their own time but no on hospital time. A furious Alex Storms out. Jackson and April take this opportunity to announce their marriage to their colleagues.

As the residents head to the bar, they invite Ben along, finally accepting him as one of them instead of seeing him as Baileys husband. Go Team Residents!! At the bar, Owen breaks up with Emma, she cannot understand what has happened since that morning, Owen cannot be with someone who would give up surgery for a family, he wants to come home to someone he can exchange war stories with, sounds an awful lot like Cristina?

The White House called Derek, they want him on the advisory board, they want him to run the project. Meredith is frustrated with the situation but ultimately happy for her husband, lifting their sex ban.

Don’t you just love this show? No major shockers this week but it was still a great episode!

RECAP: Grey’s Anatomy (S10E12)

The drought is almost over “Grey’s Anatomy” is back TONIGHT! There are so many questions that need to be answered from Derek’s Phone call to Aprils Decision, we are counting down the minutes to what will be the start of twelve straight weeks of one of T.V’s most exciting shows, its been almost three months so lets take a look back at what happened on the mid-season finale.

Cristina’s press conference following her ground breaking procedure on baby Nathan doesn’t go too smoothly as she down plays her success, only to be interrupted by Shane, singing her praises. As Meredith is still working out the kinks on her research the tension between Meredith and Cristina is as high as ever. Cristina is worried that Shane is over exerting himself and needs to take a break but shane is not stopping telling Cristina he is under hours but Shane has being manually adjusting his working hours, he is over working himself.

The Presidential Initiative on brain mapping wish to meet with Derek who reluctantly attends with baby Bailey in tow.  Derek turns down the offer to work with them, despite them offering him ALOT of money, he is not impressed by their research giving them an inspirational speech kickstarting a new direction for their research.

It is the day of Aprils wedding and she is searching  the Hospital for her bridesmaids. Poor april looks so frazzled as she runs into Jackson with curlers in her hair, having him promise to attend the wedding because she wants him there. April wrangles her Bridesmaids who all ask her if she is making a break for it, such faith in the bride. Cristina and Meredith have their dress fittings, talking for the first time in months, Cristina explains how she is not sure how her surgery on Nathan was successful, the talk does not go too well with the two arguing over their difference in priorities. Shane interrupts the argument to tell Cristina she in being considered for the Harper Avery award.  This just excels the anger of both Cristina and Meredith as their argument continues throughout their fitting.

Alex’s dad, Jimmy, is still at the hospital charming everyone but Alex who is angered by his father. The two have a little walk down memory lane before Alex looses his cool with his father letting his true feelings show, his father left him to raise his siblings and care for his Mother. Alex later returns and tells his father he is grateful he left because he wouldn’t be where he is today if he hadn’t, Saying his goodbye’s to his dad and wishing him the best with his family in Florida.

Bailey’s patient, Elliot, is on his 312th surgery and Bailey wants to custom build a drug for him in her lab, allowing Leah to take the reigns on the extraction surgery. Bailey tells her to never be afraid to stand up for herself just to make sure she is right before she does. Leah is still whining over the end of her fling with Arizona and considers taking Baileys advice.

Stephanie and Jackson are working together on a patient, Dalton, who has decided that since he may loose his voice he is going to voice everything to his wife in a hilarious way before his surgery. Taking lead from this they tell each other some home truths. Jackson remembers that Mark once told him that “Say it loud and go from there”, if you love someone tell them no matter what. Following complications with Daltons surgery he has a stroke, he may never recover.

April runs into Matthew at the hospital believing it is such bad luck, but he calms her telling her how much he loves her. Later, at the wedding, Bailey and Ben have a heated conversation about him quitting his job as he worries she is quitting surgery. Aprils bridesmaids are taking all the focus from her on her wedding day. Firstly, Arizona is crying, frustration of Callie’s insistence to ‘fix’ her, feeling she is not enough and unsure that Callie will ever make her feel that way. Then when When Cristina turns up to the wedding she and Meredith pick up their conversation in a more calmer manner with them both complimenting each other in a strange way only best friends can do, accepting the fact they are growing apart before being yelled at by April who wants them to make her feel special.

Meanwhile, back at the hospital Alex’s dad, Jimmy, has sudden complications which Ross forces Leah into surgery with him a surgery that grows drastically wrong causing Leah to call for help as Shane will not step away from the table, Leah runs and finds Richard who enters the O.R calmly as shane flashbacks to the day of the storm and Brooke’s death repeatedly saying “I did this” before taking Richards advice to go get rest as Richard takes over the surgery which is not going well.

Jo and Alex have a moment before they enter the barn where he tells her she is the only person he needs. As the ceremony starts Derek receives a phone call and is told to “Please hold for the president of the United States”, returning to the service looking somewhat shaken, what was said on this call? We want to know! Despite some hesitation Jackson takes on the words of Mark Sloan, “Say it loud and go from there”,  announcing his love for April in the midst of the wedding service to the shock of her guests. The episode came to a close as we awaited April’s response as to whether or not she loves Jackson!!!!

Is it 9pm yet, we need answers! Let us know your thoughts on tonights episode, not long left to wait!

RECAP: Revenge (S03E09)

Last week on “Revenge” the episode kicked off with Emily and Daniel’s photoshoot. Daniel is being somewhat cold towards Emily wanting to keep the pregnancy a secret until after the wedding. Meanwhile, Margaux has Lydia Davis kept put away in a fancy hotel, as she puts together her story on Grayson Global as Sarah turns up at Daniel’s office wanting answers to why he hasn’t left Emily yet, not wanting to feel like the other woman.

Emily visits Nolan and Aiden, believing Daniel is keeping the pregnancy a secret to protect his relationship with Sarah. She plans on using her meeting with Victoria that evening to find a way to reveal the pregnancy. Aiden and Nolan are working on their own plot. At their meeting, Emily declines Champagne – Hint 1. As they sit they see clothes fall from Victoria’s balcony, going to investigate they find Lydia much to Emily’s shock. Apparently Victoria saved her, with a deal, she would never come out of hiding. A deal Lydia clearly did not keep. Daniel turns up at Grayson Manor, also shocked by Lydia’s presence. Lydia pushes Emily, causing her to fall, Daniel’s over-reaction reveals Emily’s pregnancy to a disgusted Victoria. The following morning, Victoria informs Conrad he will be a grandfather, Conrad couldn’t be happier, Victoria thinks Emily is lying. She is a smart woman.

Emily and Nolan fill Aiden in on everything Lydia. Jack later visits Nolan to tell him Margaux is not off the scent, he is prepped for Nolan to hack Margaux’s computer.

As Emily and Daniel turn up to their doctors office, the press are waiting. Emily places the blame on Victoria, when Daniel confronts her, she places all the blame on Emily and again tells him his fiance is a liar. Daniel leaves Victoria, yet again furious with his mother. Jack visits Margaux at work, bringing her lunch, how sweet! While setting up lunch he sees she has a file on Conrad Grayson.

Sarah visits Charlotte at the Stowaway, telling her she is leaving, Charlotte sees through it, knowing she is leaving because of Daniel. Charlotte does not allow her quit telling her it is not too late for Daniel. Charlotte finds Daniel running, asking him what is going on. He tells her he was happy until Sarah came back, now he is questioning everything. Charlotte then visits Emily, congratulating her on her pregnancy. Promising to be a better aunt than maid of honor; using the reasoning that they’re sisters, it is the least they can do. Oh Charlotte, if only you knew how true that statement was.

Lydia lurs Conrad to the hotel under false pretenses. Having thought she died on the plane, he is delighted to see her, she on the other hand if full of threats towards Conrad, having recorded their conversation. Aiden leaks the information of Conrad’s visit to Margaux under the disguise of a hotel worker, realizing her source has been compromised, she fires Lydia. Emily goes to the shooting range preparing herself, and Victoria’s bracelet for the wedding day, covering it in gun residue.

Nolan goes to the Volez offices to see Margaux telling her she is barking up the wrong tree, offering her a lead. With nowhere to go, Lydia goes crawling back to Conrad. Apologizing for her mistake, choosing Victoria over him, Conrad being the gullible man he is, accepts her back into his life.

Sarah meets Daniel at the Stowaway, now knowing of Emily’s pregnancy. He professes her love for her but tells her that he cannot allow his child to be brought up in a broken home. She returns the necklace he gave her last week and says her goodbye as Daniel throws the necklace into the water, how dramatic. Meanwhile, Aiden helps Emily mentally prepare for her wedding day battle, explaining that out of the pain they had when they first met came love, followed by a very important question “Amanda Clarke, Will you Marry me?” to which her answer was “Yes”. Emily now has two extremely good looking Fiance’s. Go Emily! Post coital, Emily and Aiden take a look at their new identities, their new passports. One more night apart for these two and then they never have to be apart again. Easy, right!

Margaux goes to see Jack, telling him Nolan has told her that the real story about Conrad involves him. He tells her that Conrad Grayson is responsible for the death of his wife and brother. She agrees to let the story go to protect Jack, do you believe her? Back at the beach, Emily and Daniel say their goodbyes before they part for the traditional last night apart, he tells he that he knows Victoria has told her about Sarah. Promising that it is over, he tells her that he is all in on her and her baby. Lydia takes an invitation from Conrad to reminisce through his old photos to find the photo of Emily at the Grayson New Years Eve party, and she finds it. Victoria comes to see Emily telling her she has won and that she will not be attending the wedding. What does this mean for Emily’s plan? We cannot wait to see, we know it will be amazing.
