ALOT happened on last week’s “The Vampire Diaries” so here is a little reminder of what happened;
At the Salvatore house, both Elena and Katherine have the same dream which gives them a look at Stefan’s current location, it’s a doppleganger thing. This leads to a road trip for Damon, Elena and Katherine to find Stefan who in their dream was a at a bar. Growing impatient with having in such close proximity in the car are very relieved when she falls asleep as they arrive at the bar. When they enter the bar they find Nadia inside who is waiting for Katherine. Elena distracted Nadia so that Katherine could escape. How nice of Elena to save Katherine! Nadia was stronger than Elena and managed to get away with Katherine.
Silas is keeping in contact with Nadia, the traveler, through phone calls. Only vampires come back to life tech savvy. He didn’t believe she really killed her friend, Gregor so he is having some trust issues with her. Asking her to prove her loyalty by finding out if Matt Donovan’s ring brought him back to life and then kill him in a way that he can not return. Nadia follows Matt into the alley behind The Mystic Grill uses Matt to summon Gregor, her traveler friend she apparently killed last week who is now living inside Matt’s head. He is furious with Nadia but she tells him she is looking for a way to make his presence more permanent. What does this mean for Matt? She then uses Matt to contact Elena and locate Katherine. Later that night Elena calls to check in on Matt who has no recollection of their earlier conversation and is struggling to remember how he got home and why their is a trail of mud leading into his house.
Stefan wakes up in a cabin to see Qetsiyah (AKA Tessa) who saved him from the lake and then again from burning in the sun. She offers him a blood bag and tells the story of her and Silas’ and how their rivalry came to be. Silas was her true love, he had convinced her to create the immortality spell, but on the day of their wedding Silas (who by the way is a doppleganger of stefan) has run away with his true love, Amara who was Qetsiyah’s handmaiden, and took the immortality spell himself. Amara, his true love was the original Petrova doppleganger! WHAT?! When Silas and Amara violated the law of nature by becoming immortal, nature created shadow selves for both of them aka dopplegangers. This means that the universe creates dopplegangers of Silas and Amara and they are destined to be together. When Qetsiyah found Silas and Amara in the forrest when she was stood up at her own wedding, she ripped Amara’s heart out.
Damon finds the Cabin where Tessa is using a spell to drain Silas of his powers. Silas finds Katherine and Nadia, Ordering Nadia to point her gun at her own heart but as the spell kicks in he falls to his knees as both he and Stefan started bleeding from their eyes. Not cute boys! Tessa knowing about the Stefan/Elena/Damon love triangle tells Damon destiny has the dopplegangers back and gives Damon the chance to leave Stefan with her so he can return to his life with Elena but ever the adorable brother Damon declines and Tessa knocks him out. When Damon gains consciousness Elena has found them and is fussing over Stefan. They take Stefan home and Damon explains to Elena that dopplegangers are brought together by destiny he assures her he is not giving up on their relationship, no matter what. When Stefan comes around he has no idea who either Damon or Elena are! Has Stefan lost his memories?
Silas still has Katherine and again calls Nadia as he has come to the conclusion that his ex-fiancé, Qetsiyah, must be around. Knowing they both want the cure, and they won’t stop until they get it. Silas also tells us why he is so interested in Katherine Pierce as the cure is running through Katherine’s veins. Her blood is now the cure. OMG! How we love this show, it never fails to shock us.
