Lifetime’s second scripted episodic project, “Witches of East End,” will come back for a second season said Rob Sharenow, EVP and General Manager of Lifetime. The network has ordered 13 episodes for its 2014 season.

The series stars Julia Ormond, Mädchen Amick, Jenna Dewan Tatum and Rachel Boston as a family of witches living in the secluded seaside town of East Haven. “Witches of East End” centers on the adventures of a mother and her two adult daughters, both of whom unknowingly are their family’s next generation of witches, who lead seemingly quiet, uneventful modern day lives in Long Island’s secluded seaside town of North Hampton. When one of the daughters becomes engaged to a young, wealthy newcomer, a series of events forces her mother to admit to her daughters they are, in fact, powerful and immortal witches.

In addition to “Witches” renewal, the first scripted drama from Lifetime, “Devious Maids,” produced by Eva Longoria, will also be seen in the new year with a similar order.
