Will Alex jump ship to cover his debt?

Cristina  performs a heart transplant on a young girl, Ivy, whose family cannot be at her side as they appear to be struck down with the flu that is plaguing the hospital. However, when Ivy comes out of surgery just fine , her sister in the ER showing signs of the same heart condition that causes more stress for the family. It appears it may be a genetic reason behind the families health issues.

Braden, a young boy with “Bubble Boy Disease” is in the hospital with a possible sinus infection when April notices a zit on his forehead, throughout the episode the zit continues to grow in size and surgery is necessary. The young boy who was once able to live a semi normal life must now live in an actual bubble at the hospital until a bone marrow donor can be found.

Derek is about to present his research to an international medical audience of fifty scientists and is running through his speech over and over again, much to Meredith’s annoyance. Derek gets struck down with the infection and passed out before he can make it to the presentation. RECAP: Grey’s Anatomy (S10E17)

Last week’s episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” was centered around Cristina and the future of her relationship with Owen and her career. As her patient, Jason, chooses whether to live or die she sees how it would effect her life when she ran to Owen as he waited for the elevator sharing the good or bad news with him. The two scenarios that play out are:

Option 1: As Jason chooses to die Cristina decides she and Owen she be together, they get a house and adopt the strangest looking dog at the pound, Mrs. Rodriguez. Typical Cristina, she’s not the cutesy type to get a cute pet!  Later, Owen gets a job offer in Germany that would involve them moving and Cristina dropping her trial. Next flash forward is to a Pregnant Cristina who allows Shane to take on more responsibility with the trial. As she gives birth to her son Theo, Cristina tells Meredith she made a mistake, this is not what she wanted. Allowing her role as mother take over her role as a surgeon, a couple of years later when her son takes a fall at the park she must leave Shane to take lead on the trial to be with him.
At Baileys 7th birthday, Cristina is pregnant again and tells Meredith she is tired from life but sees how happy Owen is. Next we see Cristina about twenty years into the future on the night of the Harper Avery awards, but it is not Cristina receiving the award, she is presenting it to Shane, a devastated Cristina then sobs in the bathroom about the life she has lived. She gave up her Career to be a Mother.
Option 2: Jason chooses to live and Cristina believes she has achieved the impossible and it feels incredible and she wants to celebrate with Owen. In this scenario the two embark on a more casual relationship, with no expectations. Further down the road, Owen is regretting his decision, now wanting Children, reverting on the agreements they made at the start of their relationship. She and Owen end their relationship, AGAIN, but this time Owen turns to Alcohol to deal with his problems, something that effects his personal and professional life as his colleagues no longer feel safe with him working as a doctor as he puts patients at risk. In this scenario Cristina wins the Harper Avery award for the fourth time.
So which route does she take? Neither. She misses Owen as Meredith stops her to ask for help. Was this fate stepping in and stopping Cristina from having a life she does not want? We think so!
The message of this episode is : Do you know who you are, do you know whats happened to you? Do you want to live this way? It is something that is incredibly relatable for everyone. It is one of the best episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” it raises questions about something that we all deal with: Getting to know ourselves and finding out what we really want in life. Incredible episode from Shonda Rhimes.
“Grey’s Anatomy” airs Tonight Thursday at 9/8c on ABC and this week’s episode looks like it is going to be CRAZY!

RECAP: Scandal (S03E14)

Last week’s episode of “Scandal” picked up where the previous week’s left off with a BANG as we learn who was shot, it was James as he ran from Jake. Thankfully Jake spared David as he agreed to work with him in covering up the murder. They have set up James’ murder to look like a car-jacking gone wrong.

Having learned of his husbands death, Cyrus is having flashbacks of how he and James came to meet and begin their relationship. The scenes play out through the first Grant Presidential campaign where they both met and fell in love.

The shooting came at an awkward time in Fitz’ campaign trail as it is the weekend they are due to meet with the gun lobby. How can he support them when his press secretary has been shot dead. As Sally calls she lies to Fitz telling him she will skip the Gun Lobby in solidarity with the Fitz Campaign to respect the death of James but she has decised to use his absence to her advantage. Sneaky sneaky Langston.

Olivia notices Vanessa Chandler missing from the press conference and sets her team on the task of locating her and Shelby Moss, seeing through the cover up immediately. A panicked Abbey goes to find David knowing he didn’t return home last night, relieved to find him, David asks Abbey to let him get through this difficult time by doing his Job. Olivia calls Jake with her theory that James was a hit to cover-up Daniel Douglas’ death, as they talk he is burying the bodies of Vanessa and Shelby. If only she knew!

We are surprised to learn that Adnan Salif has hired Maya pope to find her a terrorist! What are they up to? Two men are sent to meet with Adnan and Maya on behalf of someone called Ivan, Maya irritated that Ivan has not turned up himself shoots one of his men sending the other away with a message for Ivan – “Marie Wallis sends her condolences for his loss and she looks forward to meeting with him soon”. Adnan feels in over her head having gotten herself involved with Mamma Pope goes to Harrison with her concerns but before she can tell him anything a car speeds away and she backs off and leaves!

Looking for answers Olivia asks Huck to look through the file in her safe on Daniel-Douglas’ death, little does she know Huck has set up a camera in the safe so he can find exactly who has been accessing it, he sees Quinn! Uh-oh not very B6-13 of her getting caught! Olivia knowing this has something to do with B6-13 goes straight to Jake asking him who made him do this? He looses his temper with her telling him this was his call he was protecting the republic, he was doing his job but he is different to his father rather than have someone else do the shooting he did it himself to save someone else from the pain. Telling her she must accept the lie because if she doesn’t “Bad things happen to good people all the time”. Wow! A threat from Jake!

Quinn and Charlie visit an ex-con with a failing liver convincing him to take the fall for the ‘car-jacking’, he agrees as inmates get free transplants and medical care. David however, is hesitating on arresting him. Is the guilt getting to him? Jake believes he is having doubts on working with him and tells him to enforce the arrest soon.

Cyrus avoiding his loss, realizes Sally is intending on going ahead with meeting the gun lobby. Fitz and Cyrus decide to send Mellie and Andrew as they intercept Sally’s travel plans in order to have the Grant Campaign arrive first. While there Mellie impresses Andrew with her shooting skills and teaches him a thing or two. The gun lobby are siding with Sally Lagston but have agreed to switch sides if Fitz speaks out in support of them. Cyrus tries to talk Fitz out of the speech believing he must come out in favor of Gun Control as both he and James are victims of gun violence. Taking Cyrus’ advice he disappoints Mellie who talks her frustrations out with Andrew and their talking turns into a kiss with appears to turn into something more.

Olivia meets with her Father at their place. Olivia asks him to just be her dad right now, she needs her dad. She does not know the point of democracy and everything else she believes in if there is only evil. Rowan tells her 183 is the number of people he is responsible for killing as command, being command means you become the hand of god. He knows all of their names, their families, he suffered a bit with each death. So whatever she thinks of Jake, however she wants to punish him he cannot be punished anymore as being the hand of god is the worst punishment possible. Her father tells her everyone is worth saving, and he believes that is the point of Olivia. She is the good to rid the evil. Rowan leaves as his daughter sits on the bench in tears, his dad time is over!

Abbey is annoyed with David believing he is lying to her and something major is going on. He poorly lies to her telling her he is sick but Abbey knows better. He cracks and tells her he must send an innocent man to jail as a price for being alive while Shelby, Vanessa and James are dead.

Quinn returns home to find Huck waiting for her with his tool box, he says he has come to kill her as she is a threat. Pushing her up against the wall and holding her there he tells her he knows wanted to be seen on camera, wanting Huck to see her and know what B6-13 was doing. He tells her somewhere in there she is still a gladiator, Quinn’s reaction to this is to spit in Huck’s face. How ladylike! Huck then shockingly KISSES Quinn, things get heated between the two before Huck leaves. OMG how insane is that, we have to say we are in favor of this crazy coupling.

As Olivia sits in her office mulling over the days events her gladiators all need her and come running to her office at once. Abbey tells her about David, Harrison about Adnan and Huck about Quinn but Olivia is unresponsive leaving them to meet with David. Olivia tells David he must arrest the ex-con, Lance. They need to focus on taking down B6-13 together, little by little with a lot of patience. David finally goes ahead with the arrest.

At the White House, Cyrus speaks to the press against Olivia’s advice. The heart breaking scene includes a flashback to the night he and James made their relationship public as Cyrus begins to cry hysterically in front of the White House press room as the loss of James finally hits him. Fitz must step in and take him away from the podium. Incredible acting from Jeff Perry in tonights episode, seriously incredible. Olivia then takes to the podium to finish the press conference as everyone watches on.

The episode ends with a flashback from Jake of the night he killed James, he stayed by James’ side and talked with him until the end, apologizing for having him suffer, telling him his daughter, Ella will be okay, she is safe. It appears Jake has compassion after all.

RECAP: Grey’s Anatomy (S10E16)

Last week on “Grey’s Anatomy” was the day of Richard’s birthday and he gets an unwanted present, a retirement package from Owen. Not exactly a good start to his birthday, now is it?

Shane meets with patients who have same issues as baby Nathan. One of their candidates, Cheryl, is a pregnant 17 year old, single mother to be, whose family abandoned her. The patients water breaks during her meeting with Dr. Ross, but Yang does not see her as a suitable candidate, she does not meet the criteria. She begs ross to let yang talk to her but Yang is not budging. Cheryl gives birth to her daughter with Dr.Ross by her side. Cheryl fears her baby will grow up without her mother since Cristina is refusing to do the surgery on her.

Cristina is suggesting Owen needs a date, and should maybe try internet dating for which she is doing extensive research and is pushing the idea on Owen looking through suitable women and setting up his dating profile for him. As he describes what he wants in a woman he describes Cristina, telling her there is a billion people out there but theres only one woman he wants –  awhhhhh!

Catherine Avery turns up to Sloan Grey following the news that her son is now a married man and she is not impressed. She wants April to sign a post-nuptual agreement and is not going about it in the best way, taking down Aprils character as a means to do so.  When Jackson and April come to an agreement to sign the document, Catherine brings up the issue of Children, as Avery Children are born with a lot of responsibility in the Avery Foundation. She hits home for the newly weds as she tells them neither of them have given a thought as to what it means to actually be married. Later, April stands up to Catherine defending her marriage and her love for Jackson, apologizing for not including her mother in law in her wedding and forcing Jackson to apologize and he does what is wife tells him telling his mother he loves April and she is the one for him. Awhhhhhh. At Richards party April and Jackson have their first conversation regarding their future children and it turns out they have very different ideas about how their children should be raised, uh-oh maybe they should wait a little bit before a baby Avery comes along.

Callie consults a lawyer to deal with the issue of Derek leaving their co-developed research and taking it to the White House. Derek attempts to talk Callie into sharing their brain mapping technology to revolutionize medicine but she sees it as a sign on Derek’s arrogance but he tells her to save her time and money as his name is on the pattens she does not have a case. Will this ruin their friendship? Thankfully, not;  As Callie and Derek skype with the White House where he tells them that the White House exclusivity clause twarts innovation, Derek backs out of the research telling them either the policy goes or he goes, of course they don’t want to loose the best Nuerosurgeon in the country so they are willing to share!

An interesting case has Leah, Meredith, Bailey and Richard very excited, their patient absorbed his own twin!! Since its Webber’s birthday they give him the surgery as a gift. The hospital is buzzing with the news of the surgery and a line forms as all the doctors in the hospital wanting a look. However, the patient, Greg, does not want his Twin removed because he loves his little brother. Strange, right? Richard attempts to talk him around to having it removed by promising him he can put it in a jar to take home with him. This case just keeps getting stranger. When Greg comes face to face with his twin post-surgery he is horrified of the blood and guts.

Alex presents Jo with the Love Contract, Meredith organized for them, but she is refusing to sign. She sees signing the legal document as the kiss of death for their relationship but she finally caves and signs the contract. Good for them! Elsewhere, Stephanie and Eric in the lab use the 3D-Printer despite Meredith’s strict instructions not to but surprisingly Meredith has a change of heart and involves both of them in bringing the research forward.

Richard is not in a very Birthday mood he believes Hunt is pushing him for retirement but it turns out Owen would like to appoint Richard as director of the residency program! At Richards Party Cristina show Owen all his possible women but it is Cristina he wants and he makes that clear. Meanwhile, April and Jackson have their first conversation regarding their future children and it turns out they have very different ideas about how their children should be raised, uh-oh maybe they should wait a little bit before a baby Avery comes along.
