RECAP: The Vampire Diaries (S05E04)

Last weeks episode was remembrance day in mystic falls. Damon and Elena are both trying to bring back some of Stefan’s memories and distract him from his urge to feed. Damon is using his Journals to help him to remember his life in sequence not giving him much other information. Elena on the other hand is recreating some of her and Stefan’s relationship moments hoping that something will trigger a memory. Although she fails, Stefan figures out that they have dated, as he moves in for a kiss she tells him she is with Damon now, something he was previously unaware of and this revelation causes him to flee as it killed his compassion and brought back his hunger. Damon stops Stefan from killing a waitress, is ripper Stefan more biological than mental? Is it something he can ignore? Damon and Elena took Stefan to the Salvatore famil crypt to keep him away from humans until they can fix his memory. Damon and Stefan’s back and forth banter this episode was so entertaining and it gave us back the brotherly interactions we have been missing since Stefan has been in the lake.

There was no sign of Silas or Katherine this week and it was nice break for the series that focused more on its original characters.

Jesse goes with Caroline’s to study in the graveyard. He makes a move and kisses her but she does not reciprocate, Jesse apologizes but says been wanting to do that since the day he met her. Caroline ran into Stefan who is hiding from Damon and Elena in the graveyard. When Jesse walks up to the two vampires, Stefan points out that he has a paper cut on his hand, Caroline quickly compells him to leave and hide. Stefan ditches Caroline when she attempts to lead him to her car to get some blood bags. Jesse ended up at the family crypt, Calling Caroline telling her he has no idea why he is there. Stefan finds and bites him but stops and compliments himself on not ripping his head off and being able to stop but soon ripper Stefan resurfaces. When they are found and Stefan is stopped, Carolina gives Jessie her blood to save him. Stefan went back to Salvatore house and burned his journals. He didn’t want to be the person in those journals again and the only person he trusts now is Caroline who is willing to help him.

Matt has figured out Nadia’s friend messed with his head somehow as he keeps blacking out. To get to the bottom of what is going on he sets up cameras to see what happens while he has blacked out. When he watched the video he sees himself answer the phone, his eyes flash black, and then he was speaking as Gregor. He hung up walked to the camera, picking up the knife Matt now has in his possession and talks to the camera creepily saying “Hello, Matt Donovan. I’m the passenger inside you. I know you have many questions but all you need to know is that one day my friends will come looking for this blade. Protect it at all costs.” He cut his hand. “Or this will be your throat.” What is this knife? and who are his friends?

As everyone thinks Bonnie is the answer to all their problems Jeremy comes clean about what actually happened to Bonnie to a shocked Damon who then embraces Jeremy in one of the sweetest moments between the two. We don’t know about you but we definitely teared up. Everyone is devastated to learn of Bonnie’s death. Jeremy, Caroline, Damon, Matt, and Elena held a very emotional service for Bonnie in the woods and she uses Jeremy to talk to them giving them and herself some much needed comfort and closure. Tyler returns to mystic falls to say goodbye to Bonnie. Finally he has returned, hopefully it is to stay. It really was heartbreaking hearing Bonnie speak such amazing words to her friends knowing they can’t hear her voice and rely on Jeremy.

Back at Whitmore at Dr. Maxfield’s lab, Jesse told him about his night and how he couldn’t remember all of it. Dr. Maxfield who had taken a blood sample knew there was vampire blood in his system. Knowing that meant someone had either healed Jesse from a near fatal injury or tried to make him a vampire. He guesses it was the former but has decided to complete that latter himself and injected Jesse with something that made him flat line. WHAT?! We really want to know what Dr. Maxfield is at beacuse Jessie did not look like he knew what was going on yet he is involved somehow. We suppose only time will tell.

RECAP: Scandal (S03E04)

“Scandal” is amazing, make sure you are telling everyone to watch it, if they’re not they are missing out. Here is a reminder of what happened last week:

Jake is still living with Olivia and despite his attempts at making their relationship a little less platonic, Olivia is brushing him off. Pope and Associates has a  new case, not one they necessarily want to take on but they need to pay rent. Their new client is senator Meyers who is accused of murdering Desiree Oaks he sent several explicit photos to.

Huck is back in AA for his ‘whiskey’ addiction aka his murder addiction, but his relapse admission is interrupted by a ringing phone from Quinn who is hiding in the shadows watching him, her cover is clearly blown. Huck tells Quinn to back off, he is not a client, he cannot be fixed. Huck and Jake have become allies with one common enemy Daddy Pope and B613.

David and Abby seem to have entered a new chapter in their relationship getting over the troubles of last season despite them being on opposing sides in a murder trial  but their bliss doesn’t last long, it doesn’t even last the episode but they again reconcile. Poor Abby, she deserves some happiness and a stable relationship.

We are also introduced to Congresswoman Josephine Marcus (guest star, Lisa Kudrow) Mellie, claiming to the press she is happy for Congresswoman Marcus helping to break the political glass ceiling following her comments about Fitz’ infidelity is picked up by a still live microphone stating that if “Give any piece of trailer trash a push-up bra and a microphone, and the stupid flyovers will eat it up like fried Twinkies.” Silly Mellie. Cyrus warns Mellie that she’s creating a star out the democrat congresswoman but Fitz  defend his wife leading to a cute moment between the two. Do you think they will ever reconcile? Cyrus sets Ethan on a mission to find all information he can on Josephine Marcus, he learns she got pregnant at 15 and appears to have abandoned her baby. Cyrus 1, Congresswoman Marcus 0.

Fitz comes across an article about Peter Foster’s death, having been murdered by Huck for attempting to reveal Operation Remington.  When Fitz finds out that Pete’s sister doesn’t have enough money for a proper funeral, he makes sure Pete is buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Making an appearance at the funeral to say his goodbye’s to his friend although he tells Pete’s sister that he has never met Pete.

When James complains to Cyrus about not getting a heads up on the President attending Pete’s funeral it is the first Cyrus hears of the Presidents side trip to the cemetery. Cyrus talks to Rowan about Pete’s death as Jake tries to listen on his ridiculous listening device that struggles to pick up their conversation.

Huck and Jake have gotten some information on Operation Remington and they share this with Olivia. Later as Olivia is drowning her sorrows with Wine when Jake offers her some comfort seeing she is not okay leading to a kiss between the two that is not just one sided.  Their moment is interrupted by a call from Fitz. As he ends his call with Oliva Fitz steps out of his car, storming into the office of Daddy Pope. Will we finally get some answers about Operation Remington? So far  it appears to have been a rescue mission that took place on Iranian soil during the first Gulf War involving Jake and a team of three men on the ground and Pilot Fitz in the air.

“Scandal” airs Tonight Thursday at 10/9c on ABC. Happy Halloween! Check out the promo below!

RECAP: The Big Bang Theory (S07E06)

Last week on “The Big Bang Theory” romance was in the air. It was the anniversary of Howard and Bernadette’s first date and he wanted to do something special for her so he decided to write a song/play a song for her along with the help of the gang. While Howard is planning out the song and surprise for Bernadette, Sheldon is being Sheldon and discovers an amazing scientific discovery. He thinks he’s more of a genius than he already is until he retraces his steps and realizes that what he discovered he actually discovered by accident. He starts playing the pity game and can’t accept the fact that he just discovered something amazing even if it was by accident. Having Howard surprise Bernadette like this makes Leonard think how Penny never does anything romantic like that for him except sex. Penny tries to think of numerous things and even has Raj help, but he can only think of things from movies. On the night that they surprise Bernadette, Howard gets a call from Bernadette’s work saying she’s in quarantine because the raccoon vaccine she’d been working with had spilled. So he shows up to the hospital and they sing her the sweetest song in the entire universe! Afterwards, Penny makes Leonard dinner and then she makes a rose petal trail back to her bedroom and gives Leonard a first edition copy of a book he said he’d always wanted, but it turns out he’d already bought the book. She shows him that she’s kept everything romantic he’d ever done for her and it turns out to be enough for him. We then see Amy and Sheldon on the couch and Sheldon tells Amy that he’s been distracted ever since he met here because he’s wanted to kiss her, and not on the check on the lips, OHMYGOODNESS! Sheldon leans in for a kiss and…..turns out it was just a dream Amy was having while she was at dinner with Sheldon. Who knows….maybe one day. 😉

RECAP: Once Upon A Time In Wonderland (S01E03)

On last weeks episode of “Once Upon A Time In Wonderland” we learned a lot more about Knave. The episode started out with a flashback to the Enchanted Forest, there we saw Robin Hood and his Merry Men. Among his Merry Men was a very familiar face, the Knave of Hearts, but in the Enchanted Forest he was known as Will. Will became of member of Robin Hood’s Merry Men to help provide a better life for him and his loved on Anastasia, who is still a mystery to us.

Back in Wonderland, Alice learns about the Knave’s past in the Enchanted Forest and she needs someone like him to help her get back Cyrus’ bottle. He then tells her about something that can help them find where it is, it’s called a forget me not. It’s a rope with magical powers that can show you the past if you hold it over a spot, so if they held it over the hole where the bottle was buried they could see who stole it. Knave takes Alice to the underground black market that runs throughout Wonderland thinking that the caterpillar can help them. Little does Alice know that the Knave is already in debt to the caterpillar. When they get there they find out that the caterpillar doesn’t have the not, but he knows where it is. So Knave makes a deal with him that if he gets the not and returns it to him all his debts will be paid.

Meanwhile, Jafar and the Red Queen are trying to think of ways to make Alice use her first wish. They start naming off of ideas in front of Cyrus to judge his facial expressions, when suddenly the Queen mentions a bandersnatch. Cyrus looks concerned and the Queen remembers that Alice once had an encounter with one on her first visit to Wonderland. So the set the bandersnatch after Alice.

An unknowing Alice and Knave walk to the  house of the Grendel to get the forget me not, but fall into a hole instead. When they wake up they’re tied up in a corner and see the Grendel and that he’s starting a fire. He’s going to eat them! They have to figure out a way out, they realize that he has a weakness, he’s looking in the mirror at a man and woman talking. They realize that it must be a woman he loved, so Knave decides to try and talk his way out of it but it doesn’t work. The Grendel sharpens his knives to prepare to eat them when Alice frees herself from the ropes with her wishes, literally. She helps Knave and they open the door only to see the bandersnatch. They panic and devise a plan to have him see them in the forget me not and surprisingly it works and they’re able to catch him in the not. Alice his holding the bandersnatch in the not when the Knave runs out of the room and the Grendel walks in and the bandersnatch almost attacks him, but the Knave comes back in just in time to kill him. The Grendel thanks him for saving his life and then gives them the not and tells them that the Queen turned him like that after he stole the not from her.

Once Alice and Knave have the not the go to the hole only to find out that the White Rabbit stole the bottle and has been working with the Queen all along. Alice is devastated by this news. Knave decides to burn the Knot instead of giving it to the caterpillar so it won’t be able to be used anymore and because he doesn’t want to be a thief anymore. The Queen and Jafar bribe the Grendel to give the information by telling them he’ll be reunited with his wife and he tells them Alice and Knave were traveling together.

Back at Jafar’s place they think the bandersnatch is dead which means Alice used her first wish but Jafar knows she didn’t use her wish, we then see Cyrus say his plan worked perfectly!

One last flashback in the Enchanted Forest shows, Robin Hood and the Merry Men in Maleficint’s castle just to steal gold but Will steals something else. He steals something magical that create a portal for him and Anastasia. When he returns home we see that Anastasia is actually the Red Queen and the portal is taking them to Wonderland where they can be whoever they choose…and we all know who she chose.

RECAP: Grey’s Anatomy (S10E06)

Have we mentioned how much we LOVE “Grey’s Anatomy” and its return to its greatness. Here is a reminder of what happened last week;

Having passed their boards the interns are now  first year residents. YAY! Following her make out session with Arizona Dr. Leah Murphy has become a little obsessed with her mentor, according to Alex when Leah likes someone she falls hard and fast and becomes super clingy. Arizona is trying to shake her off but Murphy is not picking up on the hints, cialis after she spills to her friends about her new ‘relationship’ with Arizona, her new ‘love’ straight out tells her it will not happen again. Murphy with some words of apologies leaves. Poor girl, but later that night as Arizona is lying in bed she sends Leah a text to see what she is up to. Is this the start of a new relationship?

Alex is hiding something from Jo and she is really worried as he hasn’t been home at night. He has been hanging out at the bar where his dad plays music. When he finally plucks up the courage to talk to his dad, obviously not mentioning who he is, Daddy Karev talks about his son and how  much he loves him and how he thought him to play Music, Alex mentions his dad thought him a little and they play together in a super sweet moment. When Alex inquires a little more about the son he speaks of thinking it is him he learns Daddy Karev is talking about his 12 year old son, Nick who he left in Florida. A furious Alex punches Daddy Karev and tells him to leave Nick alone because he is better off without him. As Alex leaves we think his father has come to the realization of who Alex really is.

Callie and Derek’s research is finally making a breakthrough when Callie drops out. She started this research for Arizona and now that they are no longer together she is finding it difficult to carry on. With words from Derek and their patient, Michael who later passes away she decided to carry on with their research.

Meredith struggling to decide her research proposal remembers something she has read about before and asks Bailey if she can point her in the right direction, Bailey unable to remember is interrupted by Richard Webber who tells Meredith the origins of that research comes from her mother, Ellis Grey. Meredith debates whether or not she should continue her Mothers research since they didn’t have the greatest of relationships and she does not want to be like her mother. With a little encouragement from Richard who gives her one of her mother’s Journals, Meredith decided to carry on the potentially ground breaking research.  A difficult time for Meredith as she and Cristina are going through a rough patch in their friendship, having been inseparable since the series begin it is really sad to see their relationship fall apart. Everyone needs their person.

Shane Ross gives Cristina the idea for a ground breaking surgery and tells Derek he no longer wishes to be on his service, when Derek tries to talk him around, Dr.Ross snaps and tells him he dosen’t want to work with him anymore. Not wanting to work with the worlds greatest neuro-surgeon we have to wonder if the guilt of his role in Hannah’s death finally surfacing for Dr.Ross.

April made a little appearance in this episode but Jackson was nowhere to be seen.  Owen’s new girlfriend is back and observing a surgery at the hospital when she bumps into Cristina who mentions she is Owen’s ex-wife, something Dr. Marling seemed to be completely oblivious to. Has Owen been keeping secrets from his new girl?

Jo is busy trying to diagnose Richards mysterious shoulder pains, with little assistance from Richard. When she finally cracks the problem a glimpse of the old Richard Webber comes out and it is so good to see. Returning home to Alex she asks him what is going on and he blames her for what happened with his Father throwing something across the room  in anger, smashing it to pieces.  Elsewhere, Meredith and Derek are still trying to find a balance between work and family and Derek has a solution, he will take a step back and work less so that Meredith can focus on her research.

RECAP: The Crazy Ones (S01E05)

There was love and some tension in the air on last weeks episode of “The Crazy Ones”. Sydney’s woman crush Helena was in the office for her middle aged dating site she works for and everyone was after her. Sydney looks up to Helena and then while out with drinks for her she learns that Helena slept with Zach. So the next day she sees Zach and thinks that Helena and Zach are together or at least friends with benefits, so they both are competing over how close they are with her. Meanwhile, Andrew has to do a voice over campaign all on his own and the man that is doing the voice over intimidates him. While Andrew’s dealing with that, Sydney decides she’ll show up to Elena’s hotel room and surprise her, but it turns out Elena has a someone over. Sydney assumes it’s Zach but then it turns out to be her father. Zach confronts Simon about how he’s had Elena as a lover and then they fight and decide to confront Elena. She tells them she doesn’t think it’s a big deal, then again she’s European and that type of thing’s acceptable over there. They decide it’s best if they keep things business with her from now on. Finally, Andrew stands up to the voice over guy and that’s all the guy wanted was Andrew to stand up to him and he now respects him. RECAP: The Millers (S01E04)

On last weeks episode of “The Millers” Nathan found out something we’ve known all along, his mom smothers him. Nathan’s been yawning at work a lot lately and he gets offered a chance to take over for one of the night time reports when they’re sick one night, but he needs to figure out why he’s yawning so much. Ray suggests he goes and sees his therapist. Meanwhile, Tom really needs a haircut but he only trusts Carol to do it and she won’t since he left her. He allows Adam to practice with his hands and he pokes him in the eye, there goes his possible chance at a haircut. Nathan goes to see the therapist and the therapist is a little..odd. He takes things from a sort of hippie approach and as Nathan is talking about his mother he realizes that she is the problem and the fact that she insists on controlling him and doing everything with him bothers him. Carol gets suspicious when he comes home relaxed one day and is calm with her and basically stalks his life to find out where he’s been besides work. She finds out he’s been going to a therapist and so she bribes Tom to go with her by telling him she’ll give him a haircut. In the therapy session they pretend it’s just a session to help make it a less messy divorce but when the therapist walks out she goes through his notebook and see’s that she’s what Nathan’s been talking about. But guess what, Nathan decides to pop in for a session and they run into each other on the way out. He tells his mom that he’s never felt like he was good enough and he just wanted to make her happy.
