Big news for Kristen Stewart fans! According to an announcement made at the EFM, Kristen has joined Jim Sturgess (Across the Universe) and Elizabeth Banks (Hunger Games) in Steven Shainberg’s comedy drama, The Big Shoe. Variety reports that filming is set to begin June 17th.

A brief synopsis of the film is as follows:

“The Big Shoe” follows a show designer (Sturgess) whose family want to use his designs to make mass-produced knock-offs for fast profit. The family hires a muse (Stewart) and a psychotherapist (Banks) to lure him back to work when he breaks free from the family.

Not only was music in the eighties totally awesome (see what I did there) but it is also making a comeback (how could we be so fortunate?). Below is a list of my of must-listen-to hipster* songs containing Kitten, Robert DeLong, Ra Ra Riot to mention a few.

Beta Love – Ra Ra Riot

Global Concepts – Robert DeLong

Default – Django Django

Dark Again – Gold Fields

I Follow You – Melody’s Echo Chamber

Afternoon – Youth Lagoon

Cherry – Chromatics

Judge Jury And Executioner – Atoms For Peace (This band reminds me SO much of Radiohead)

Cut It Out – Kitten

Dust and Bones – Night Terrors of 1927

Change – Churchill (super sexy song)

*Hipster (as defined by me) is being a totally cool individual that not only has a raw sense of style but is also musically inclined and, perhaps, musically-forward in their taste.
